Rhian and Matt, another one of my couples who reminds me just how lucky I am as a Cambridgeshire wedding videographer to capture the wedding days of such amazing people! On our prewedding chat we had such a lovely chat about their plans and they 100% took everything on board that we talked about.
From making sure we had plenty time booked in for some couples portraits to writing each other notes on the day, Rhian and Matt made sure they did everything they could to ensure I could create the best wedding film for them.
These two first found me after I worked with their photographers (Fountain Photography) on the wedding of Rebecca and Mark, we both shared a rather special little night shot and that was it, a couple of quick emails and they were in the diary!
How They Made it Their Own
There were lots of personal moments for Rhian and Matt but I think the biggest way these two made it their own was just by being themselves. Up for anything, constant smiles on their faces and just having the best day ever!
This was a lovely intimate church wedding before all the guests hopped onto a coach to head back to The Old Hall, Ely. The Old Hall is a fantastic backdrop to any wedding.
Wedding Video Vibe
With the wonderful letters they wrote each other, Rhian and Matt gave me so much audio I could have made a highlights film twice as long and still not used it all!
Their characters added in ontop of the audio led me in a very clear direction while making their wedding day come to life in their film.
Using their letter reading as a backbone I set about finding a perfect track to help enhance the storytelling nature of the wedding film.
While goldenhour did slightly let us down, it didn’t stop us heading out (a little earlier than initially planned) to capture some beautiful moments between these two. We headed up to the top of the drive where there was a plethera of long grass to pop the couple into and let the magic flow.
This was the first time I have used that part of the grounds at The Old Hall but it was well worth the short walk up the hill.
