I always love being asked to be a wedding videographer at The Old Hall in Ely. The Old Hall, without doubt, is one of the best wedding venues in Cambridgeshire. An excellent manor house set in the countryside is a short distance from the historic city of Ely. From the large stunning gardens, you can look across the Cambridgeshire fenland towards the cathedral. A Jacobean manor house that was recently renovated this stunning wedding venue combines the historic with the modern.
The venue itself provides outstanding English Country House hospitality. Well known for a warm and welcoming atmosphere this wedding venue is family run. The Old Hall’s team has many years of experience in hosting couples special days. You can always rely on them to make sure your wedding planning is a breeze from the moment you book.
Nestled on the outskirts of Stuntney in Cambridgeshire. This elegant venue has ample accommodation on site. Complete with stunning guest bedrooms for your preparations. The Bridal Suite is, without doubt, a special touch. It is an ideal building to have as the backdrop of your wedding day.
The sweeping grounds are very accessible for your wedding guests. Plenty of on-site parking is available and is a mile from Ely railway station. Ely station is a hub with fantastic links to the rest of East Anglia and on to London.

After your ceremony, it is time to enter the acres of grounds. These form the perfect backdrop to your formal family group photos. The patio areas are ideal for your guests to mingle and enjoy the fantastic nibbles as they are brought around. If it does rain on the day fear not, the bar area and attached rooms are also an ideal place for your guest to enjoy the day.

You’ve probably already worked out but I am a little bit in love with this breathtaking venue. A large reason for that is the grounds. I always come alive at couples time. It is always best to take two walks around the grounds to make sure we capture the best memories. Once in the afternoon after your ceremony and then again a little later in the evening.
The golden light and sunsets at The Old Hall can be truly exceptional. I have filmed several weddings at The Old Hall and it hasn’t disappointed yet. It is always well worth taking a walk around the stunning lakes around an hour before sunset to capture the best moments. I do love being a wedding videographer at The Old Hall Ely.
The Marquee
The marquee is the ideal place for your wedding party. This wedding venue provides food that is always exemplary. When you sit down for your wedding breakfast you can rest assured the food will be as fantastic as the views.
Once all the formalities of the wedding speeches are all over it’s time to let your hair down. With the clean modern marquee wedding couples can finish the night off in style.
