The Prep:
Rebecca and Mark’s wedding preparations like so many were interrupted by restrictions. With having a change of venue, multiple changes of dates and even at one point having to cancel me as their Suffolk wedding videographer. They took all this in their stride though and I was so excited when I got the email to say they were now getting married on a date I could film.
The couple chose Swynford Manor as a wedding destination. This classic country house wedding venue near Newmarket has beautiful grounds, lavish guest bedrooms and plenty of space for your wedding day. It was the perfect choice for Rebecca and Mark’s big day
How They Made It Their Own:
You could tell that a lot of thought and planning had gone into this day. The couple made their way to Cambridge to get married in a local church before heading back to Swynford Manor for their wedding reception. It was a very chilled affair with guests from the UK and US enjoying the green grounds and lovely weather.
Rebecca and Mark hired the awesome guys of Fountain Wedding Photography and I have to give them a huge shout out. We took the couple out for some lovely romantic moments in the long grass before the sun went down. Once darkness had fallen we headed out again, armed with my spotlights and the guy’s smoke bombs we created some incredible night shots! Thanks lads!
The garden room of Swynford was the perfect setting for the wedding breakfast. I have a few things I am really passionate about and one of those is military aviation history so to see the little details that linked into this was amazing. Table names were a mix of RAF and USAF aircraft and the military traditions were respected across the whole day.
Wedding Video Vibe:
During their pre-wedding meeting, we had lots of conversations about their plans and how we could make their wedding film perfect for them. As followers of my blog will know I always say that you get out what you put in. Rebecca and Mark spent a lot of time asking me how we could make sure they had the perfect audio for their wedding film. We had a really clear thought about the style of film we wanted to create.
The couple wrote each other notes in the morning which not only did they read the note they received but also the one they wrote so that I could have enough audio to use.
I couldn’t ignore the excitement that came through in the evening with a propper party kicking off on the checkerboard dancefloor at Swynford Manor. The atmosphere was electric and everyone was dancing away until the early hours of the morning.
