Tia & William’s Hockwold Hall Wedding

May 2025

A Uniquely Laid Back Wedding At Hockwold Hall

The first thing I would say about Tia and William’s Hockwold Hall wedding was just what a chilled day it was! Tia and William were both adamant before the day was that they were not going to get caught up in things they didn’t want to. From playing the Playstation 2 in the morning through to what can only be called animal carnage in the evening, these two had the best day!

Hockwold Hall is one of those wedding venues in Norfolk where I have found myself many times enjoying a magical wedding. I have had so many beautiful days there as a Norfolk wedding videographer and it was lovely to add another one to the list!

The Fighter Jets Were Always Going To Make Themselves Heard

So, these two love the sound of aircraft (well when you live near a US airbase you are always going to have plenty of flybys.) With the US President due in the evening to make a visit in Air Force One, RAF Lakenheath was in full flight mode all morning.

As Tia made her way to the top of the aisle, I think we all knew that the minute they started their wedding vows that we were going to get buzzed! Bang on cue, a couple of F15s made their way over the venue and the registrar was saying “We’ll just wait a moment” to which, a guest just called out “Will’s probably booked this in…”

Who Needs Speeches?

One of the things that Tia and William were always clear about was they didn’t want anyone to be stressed on the day. This meant no speeches which helped enhance the informal nature of their wedding day.

After the meal, though, the couple wanted to visit the meerkats to have an experience. I think about half of their guests followed and then Richard from Hockwold seemed to find almost every animal in Norfolk. We had alpacas, sheep, goats, meerkats, peacocks and a duck. One word… carnage! You can watch a behind the scenes video of the animal experience here!

David Attenborough Impressions

You may have guessed by now that Tia and William like animals, it didn’t take long while we walked about during golden hour to see some hares and rabbits. Well, this just had to bring on one of my most underrated talents… My David Attenborough Impressions… sorry they were terrible!

I will say, however, that it did seem to bring some chuckles, as did Tim Stephenson Photography almost falling over, again! This was such a lovely chilled day, I had so much fun!
