My Second Wedding At The Barns At Redcoats
What a crazy couple of weeks it has been for me as a Hertfordshire wedding videographer. I filmed Sophie and Nick’s wedding at The Barns at Redcoats before hopping onto a plane the next day for a holiday with my long suffering family. Enough of that though as it’s time to talk about these to legends! They had spoken to me a lot in the run up about how they wanted a chilled and relaxed day. I was so pleased that they got their wishes as when I arrived bride prep was already underway and Sophie was chilling and just taking everything in. Don’t get me wrong, there were, without doubt some nerves!
These nerves went up a notch when I confirmed that Nick had arrived with his boys. I quickly ran across and got some shots of them getting ready before returning and finding Sophie in want of some fresh air. Now I’m not a small guy so I was able to block the view and sneak Sophie out onto a chair on the balcony!
Some Stunning Wedding Vows
Now, I know, sometimes I can sound like a broken record when it comes to personal vows! I would always recommend that if you can you should look to write your own vows. It always helps make your wedding feel extra special and personal. Sophie and Nick clearly had read my blog post on why you should write your own wedding vows and they did so with bells on! Two of the loveliest sets of wedding vows I have heard, probably ever!
After these they couldn’t wait to be announced husband and wife and seal their marriage with a kiss!
Canapés and Drinks
Everyone had a lovely chilled time out in the garden while they enjoyed the hospitality. It wasn’t long before it was time to sneak the guys away for some time alone though. Sophie and Nick were well up for capturing some gorgeous couples moments together.
After the lovely food and speeches, I’m normally pretty positive when it comes to golden hour, but I thought the weather had let us down at the last minute. We said we would take a wander around the corner to give Sophie and Nick some time away. While we were there, the sun decided to sneak back out to give us a few minutes of lovely light!
I had an absolute blast filming these two at their wedding venue in Hertfordshire. I hope you enjoy watching this little sneak peek as much as I enjoyed capturing it!
