Faith At The Heart Of The Day
Amy and Matt’s faith is a key part of their lives, it was no surprise that it formed the heart of their wedding at All Manor of Events. On the pre-wedding call these two told me that their ceremony was the most important part of the day and that they hoped it was “as long as possible”.
The morning preparations were just down the road at their Suffolk wedding venue before they headed to the church. It always surprises me how somethings go. This was my third wedding at this church in my time as a Suffolk wedding videographer. Considering the location and it being a fairly small village church it’s incredible I’ve now been there for a third time.
A Monster Of A Ceremony
So with the ceremony being the key part of the day, it was no surprise that it probably tops the charts as the longest wedding ceremony I have filmed. The best part of 2 hours. I know this meant the world to Amy and Matt though.
Once the ceremony was over, the couple walked out to a guard of honour from Matt’s Royal Air Force colleagues. Of course, they weren’t allowed to pass until they had kissed.
We then took a walk in a local orchard where Amy and Matt knew the owner. There was some lovely blossom so we made sure we used it to the max.
Back To Their All Manor Of Events Wedding
Once the guests had already made it to All Manor of Events, Amy and Matt jumped in the car to join them. The sun was shining as they mingled with their guests in the gardens.
They headed into the marquee to have a room reveal and were so pleased with how it looked. Their guests soon followed ready for some food.
Once the food was over the speeches took centre stage. We had some lovely speeches but while they were happening the clouds were building. We headed straight out after the speeches and were just able to squeeze some gorgeous glow out of the sky for a few minutes before the clouds decided we were done!
These two were masters of the “Back Cuddle” and pretty good at the “Bum Lift” too! I was so pleased we got a little bit of golden hour for them because they deserved it!
