It’s fantastic to finally be back doing what I love. In my job as a Norfolk Wedding Videographer I truly love getting to know amazing couples throughout their wedding planning. What I always find exciting is when I find myself at a new wedding venue in Norfolk. Whitwell and Reepham Station is a heritage railway station nestled in the mid-Norfolk countryside.
With the beautiful Marriott’s Way running beside the station, Whitwell and Reepham Railway has been restored to its former glory. The station itself re-opened in 2009, nearly 50 years after it was closed to passengers.
A Stunning style at Whitwell and Reepham Station
I arrived at the couple’s home, I found Jess, her girls and two excitable dogs. With hair and make-up well underway it wasn’t long before it was time to pop on the dress and head to the wedding venue.
As I walked into the station, I found a wonderland that had been completely styled from scratch by Vicki of Classic Event Decor. The couple left the styling completely in Vicki’s hands and wow did she deliver. The room looked incredible.
Beautiful Outdoor Wedding Ceremony
Jess made her way down the aisle alongside the railway line. Ady stood in wait with a huge grin on his face! With restrictions still in place, this was a really intimate ceremony. After the i-do’s it was time for a little walk along Marriots Way to capture some couples moments alongside Samantha Jayne Wedding Photography.
Afternoon Tea
All the guests made their way into the beautiful room for afternoon tea. With the sun shining, it had a real summer feel to the day. Once the cakes and scones were all consumed it was time for some amazing speeches. I have, without dout, missed these magical moments. Like Jess giving Ady a gift that I knew was coming but he had no idea!
On Track
While the couple were eating Samantha and I spoke to the team at Whitwell and Reepham Station to ask what we could use for a couples shoot. I will be honest, when you’re filming a wedding at a railway station, I always want to use what I have at my disposal. With permission and following all the safety requests of a station, we headed out into the railway yard to capture some awesome moments.
I am going to throw this out now. I love an outdoor first dance! I have filmed 6 or 7 of them now and they are just amazing. As the sun went down these two danced together for the first dance.
I am so excited to be back up and running, Jess and Ady’s day was packed full of fun and so much laughter! I hope you enjoy this awesome little wedding film from Whitwell and Reepham Station.
