The Prep
I don’t know what it is about me and Swynford Manor weddings. They always seem to be very cool and unique and that’s exactly what happened when I filmed the wedding of Alex and Harry. Now in the lead up to the day, Alex had sent me a secret message, you know 007 for your eyes only type stuff.
This message let me know of a little surprise that was going to take place before their wedding ceremony. I knew that Alex and Harry were planning a first look to help calm the nerves before the ceremony. However, on top of that, Alex had a little surprise set for Harry.
Little did he know, when we ushered him into the room with his eyes closed what was about to happen. As he opened his eyes and looked up, he saw the dress… then he saw something he hadn’t expected to see. Instead of bride… we had a best man!
Now for a split second (and genuinely it was only a split second) I was slightly nervous as to what reaction Harry would have but the laughter soon ensued as Harry couldn’t believe his eyes.
I soon reassured him that he would get to see Alex straight after and we had a lovely moment as they saw each other for the first time.
How They Made it Their Own
This was a wedding that had a lot of styling and personalisation that was truly unique to this lovely couple. I think the biggest thing that I came away from the day remembering was the beautiful piece of artwork that was created by Stephanie Struth for the happy couple. With the image of the couple in front of the fire place and their nearest and dearest around them it probably sounds obvious, but it was a beautiful work of art.
Wedding Video Vibe
When it came to Alex and Harry’s wedding film I wanted to go for a bit of a blended vibe. One that balanced the elegance of the day with the fun element and the epic party in the evening. With that in mind I took the time to find a track for the highlights that allowed for that balance.
