I always love it when someone I know gets in contact about booking me as their Norfolk Wedding Videographer. I used to work with Keanu in my old job at Tesco. When he first started looking for someone to film his wedding he came across this website and said “ah I know him”.
Origianally booked in to be a couple of weeks earlier (wow did it rain on their Plan A date!) Lorna and Keanu decided to postpone a couple of weeks to allow them to have 30 guests at their wedding. This was one beautiful wedding day and I was so pleased I could be a part of it!
Stradsett Hall Weddings
This was my first wedding at this lovely Norfolk wedding venue. It is am English country estate with the stunning hall as the backdrop. Lorna and Keanu were married in what must be one of my favorite wedding ceremony spaces. Without doubt, this was one very special wedding venue.
For civil ceremonies you can either choose to be in the open-air Rose Garden or if you’d rather a roof over your head. The Orangery provides a stunning space, it was the glass house where Lorna and Keanu had their intimate wedding ceremony.
The Preparations
Those of you who follow my blog, will know I often head to the boys first. This was, without doubt, a record for me. I was with Keanu and his lads for a record SEVEN minuites! I walked in to find them all in trousers and shirt ready to go, a quick popping on of the suits and I was in my car and on my way.
I arrived at Lorna’s to find a more relaxed affair. With family pets looking on, Cherrie Imogen Hair and Make-up was in charge of beauty. There was prosecco and quite possibly the biggest back of pick of mix I have ever seen!
It was soon time for Lorna to pop on her beautiful wedding gown and hop into the car provided by Silverline Limousines and head over to Stradsett Hall.
The Ceremony
As Keanu stood in the Orangery waiting for the civil ceremony with guests looking on. Lorna made her way from the car and across the garden. Nerves were starting to show on his face while he waited amongst the stylish background. Shout out to Bernice from Blooming Perfect Florists for the gorgeous displays.
A lovely intimate ceremony followed. It was packed with emotion (especially in the front row!) After the ceremony, it was time to head across to the converted stables which is a lovely spot for the wedding breakfast. The room was covered in personal touches which had been coordinated by Style and Joy Events.
Couples Time
It was soon time to head over to the gated rose garden and picturesque park area for some couples time. The clematis was in full bloom and the perfect backdrop to some gorgeous moments. We had lots of giggles as we made our way around the beautiful wedding venue. I had a few fun ideas I wanted to try with the guys and I was pleased they were up for having some fun.
Drone wedding videography
With this being my first wedding of 2021 it was the first time I could properly dust of my Mavic Pro Mk 2 and do some flying on a wedding day. During the winter lockdown I spent time completing my qualifications that allows me to fly this on a wedding day. It meant I was able to get some unique angles of Stradsett Hall’s gardens. You can see why this is billed as a fairytale wedding venue.
First Dance
Now, most of you will know I love an outdoor first dance. On my prewedding catch up with Lorna and Keanu we talked about the courtyard and how I would love to capture their first dance outside if it was dry. Well it was dry so I had a chat with KSD Events who were DJ’ing and the door was thrown open and the couple danced in the open air. The perfect way to kick off their wedding reception.
This was a beautiful wedding day I had an amazing time being Lorna and Keanu’s videographer. I will certainly look forward to adding Stradsett Hall to my list of great wedding destinations in Norfolk. I hope you enjoy this sneak peek film.
