A Gorgeous pentney abbey wedding Video
JADE + DARYL
DECEMBER 2020│NORFOLK
Jade and Daryl had first enquired with me well before we ever knew the phrases Covid Secure or Social Distancing. Like many bride and grooms in 2020, there were a few changes of plan along the way. This was my first ever wedding at Pentney Abbey. This special wedding venue in Norfolk is perfect for having an intimate wedding day. There was no doubt when we started talking about a Christmas micro wedding at this idyllic venue.
Exciting preparations at Pentney Abbey
I arrived alongside Dan Lightening (Photographer) to find the boys nice and early. We found the lads in one of the little side rooms. With the light being nice and soft we decided to grab the boys outside and get them to pop on their suits. Daryl’s brother Ryan helped him pop his tie and jacket. A quick pop out the front of the pub and it was time for Dan and me to jump back in our cars and head over to Pentney Abbey.
We parked up in the car park and headed over to the cottage where you could hear the laughter already from the girls. As we walked in we found a hive of socially distanced activity. Jade had another of my recommended wedding suppliers Michelle Bennett on makeup. Before we knew it, it was time to head up the stairs to the Abbey to surprise Jade’s bridesmaids with a dress reveal! After much squealing Jade made her way up the aisle towards Daryl.
Magical Wedding Ceremony
Without doubt, one of my favourite things about all my wedding ceremonies is those little moments. There were so many gorgeous little moments between these two. Seeing Daryls face when Jade started her vows was nothing short of magical. They were soon announced husband and wife and it was time for some drinks outside.
Woodland Wonderland
Jade had said during our chats that they planned to go to a local wood for some couples time. Now I will 100% give these guys a virtual high five! What an amazing time we had out in the woods. It was muddy I won’t lie but these two didn’t care one bit. Jade loves being amongst nature so you could tell she really enjoyed herself.
If I’ve said it once I’ve said it a hundred times! You do genuinely get out what you put in! Spending time away together in these beautiful woods was well worth it.
Dancing in the Rain
There are many sayings about dancing in the rain. I will confess when we first came up with the idea of a spotlit first dance outside of Pentney Abbey, it wasn’t raining! As the couple made their way out of the barn and over to the gatehouse the rain started to fall.
As was Jade and Daryl’s attitude, they didn’t car a bit. They enjoyed one of the most unique first dances I have ever filmed. With the music playing on a speaker and spotlit from above, these two danced away. The guests even waved sparklers as they danced. This was definitely one of those weddings where I love my job as a Norfolk Wedding Videographer.
I hope you enjoy their wedding film and if you are getting married at Pentney Abbey I would love to hear about your plans.
