I always love a Pentney Abbey wedding and this beautiful Norfolk Wedding Venue was the perfect backdrop to Emily and Alfie’s big day. I had last been a Norfolk wedding videographer at this lovely venue a matter of days before the second lockdown. To be back here for a gorgeous summer wedding was mega special!
An Outdoor Wedding Ceremony
The law had recently changed to allow full legal outdoor wedding ceremonies. I was so excited that Emily and Alfie were all set to be my first under the new rules and the Rose Garden with the Pentney Gatehouse was the perfect location.
Floral Sistas were at their incredible best by providing a stunning display for the end of the aisle. I arrived with Megan Duffield Photography to find Michelle and the team adding more and more beautiful flowers, I had one word… wow!
We found Emily in the bridal preparation room in hair and make-up and Alfie doing some finishing touches before he cracked out a football for a kick about with his best man. It was soon time though for him to get his suit on and await his bride.
Glorious Details
Alfie stood at the end of the aisle whilst Emily made her wait towards him. The ceremony was everything these two had been dreaming of. You could feel the emotion. After the ceremony, it was time to take Emily and Alfie away for some time to themselves. We left them in a patch of long grass to just be themselves.
This was a wedding packed with subtle and beautiful details. The rose garden ceremony had looked lovely and the barn looked simply stunning.
Did it Come Home?
Unfortunately, we all know that England didn’t quite bring it home in the Euros. Emily and Alfie definitely did though as they donned their England shirts and walked out to Three Lions. We then took them for some more couples shots using the cornfield as a backdrop.
The sun dropped on this special day as they had their first dance outside on the patio. It is very much a trend I am enjoying right now. After the first dance, it was time to bust open some sparklers and finish the day in style.
I just love filming weddings at Pentney Abbey and this was such a special one! I hope you enjoy this sneak peek wedding film! What a day!
