The Prep:
One question I often get asked is “What happens if it rains on my wedding day?” It is usually a simple answer that we grab a brolly and just embrace it. The weather is one thing you can’t ever control, but one thing I never expected this year was to find myself doing my job as a Norfolk Wedding Videographer on the hottest day ever recorded in the country.
The “just embrace it” attitude was still in full force as I arrived to find Jasmine and her girls upstairs in the North Wing of Oxnead Hall. There were lots of smiles and laughter as they got ready for their church ceremony.
How They Made It Their Own:
So many lovely details on display on this wedding day as well as a genuinely lovely couple. The word I would choose to describe the decor would be elegance. The cornflower blue of the bridesmaids dresses were also a perfect choice for a summer wedding.
Wedding Video Vibe:
These two embraced (there’s that word again!) golden hour with both hands. After braving the abrasive heat all day as soon as the temperature dropped we just headed out for some couples time.
We timed it to perfection as the golden light bathed across the grounds. I am at Oxnead Hall eight times this year and I promise to make all the films different. For Jasmine and Matthew they were so lovely throughout the couples shoot that it had to feature heavily in their film.
There is one last thing I will mention about these two (and the weather) Matthew kept his tweed jacket on all day (even in the 39 degree heat) absolute respect!
I hope you enjoy this look at what was such a lovely day!
