Ashleigh and John had the most magical wedding day at Oxnead Hall in Norfolk. The gorgeous Oxnead was without doubt, the perfect backdrop to this Disney inspired day. From Ashleigh’s gown through to the decor, there was a sprinkling of magic in the air.
Preperations for the day
I started the day by meeting up with Tim Stephenson (wedding photographer) to find John and his boys in a nearby barn. I always try and ensure I plan in some groom prep when I am doing my job as a Norfolk wedding videographer. It was definitely worth it as we captured some great shots of John and the lads getting ready before heading off to Oxnead to find Ashleigh.
When we arrived on site we took a walk to the space where the ceremony was being set up. One thing I do love about Oxnead is the fact it is a fantastic location for an outdoor wedding ceremony. Ashleigh must have had a sixth sense as she headed down to see us, complete with hair in rollers!
The girls were all in make-up and hair when we made our way to the bridal prep area. There was a wide variety of wedding suppliers on the day and it was great to catch up with many of them during the morning.
Beautiful outdoor ceremony
As Ashleigh made her way across the grounds, John kept his eyes front until the very last moment. His smile as Ashleigh arrived with her dad told a thousand stories. The gardens at Oxnead made for a beautiful wedding ceremony space and the guys were soon announced, husband and wife.
It was a beautiful afternoon for all of the guests to enjoy drinks on the lawn. The afternoon was filled with laughter.
Party Zone
After the speeches, it was soon time for a good old party! Straight after the first dance, Ashleigh’s mum kicked off a flashmob, seeing everyone’s face as the flashmob packed out the dancefloor was a little bit special. Then it was time to just dance the night away!
This was a very special wedding and I know just how much it meant to Ashleigh and John that they were able to have the day of their dreams.
