STYLED SHOOT
Narnia Winter Themed Editorial Wedding Style
A winter wonderland wedding styling
SEPTEMBER 2020│HALES HALL│NORFOLK
You normally see a lot of styled shoots during the quieter months of the year. But with 2020 being the year it has pretty much the whole year was wiped out. Jo from One Curious Dream had a brainstorm of how she could do something a little bit different.
As these things often go, Tim and I received a message saying Jo was up to something and would we be on hand to capture it. “It’s a little bit different, do you want to see the Pinterest board” was all we were initially told. On a showery day in September, with social distancing, masks and fake snow… yes I said SNOW magic happened!
Narnia
I grew up reading the Chronicles of Narnia books so when Jo said the theme was Narnia I was, without doubt, very excited. The Chronicles of Narnia is a series of seven fantasy novels written by C.S. Lewis. Set in the fictional realm of Narnia, written by Lewis from 1949 to 1954, the series is a classic of children’s literature. The main story arc concerns the adventures of children in the world of Narnia, where they become kings and queens and have many adventures together.
Setting the Scene
Hales Hall looked stunning with incredible details. I must confess my favourite part of this shoot just had to be when we went outside. In the early stages of the planning, I discussed with Jo my last wedding of 2019. Carla and John had hired a snow machine and it had an incredible effect on the film.
Jo soon got a little bit excited and I received a message to say that there would be a snow machine on site. When you are planning your wedding, you can be sure that One Curious Dream will definitely deliver on your dreams. We walked outside, our amazing models completely styled as ice queens by Adie and the snow began.
Oh my goodness! The shots we achieved as Tim and I both got covered in the fake snow were so worth it. Wait for the key change in the music track! So incredible!
After a year of what can only be described of nightmares it was such a joy to play around with one of my favourite childhood books and link it to my job as a wedding videographer in Norfolk.
