This was a wedding that I felt I had been waiting to come around for such a long time. Holly and Thomas first met me at the Oxnead Hall wedding fair about three years ago and after a quick chat about their plans for their Langley Abbey wedding, I was very excited when the call came through they wanted to book. Anyone who has read my blog before will know that I love a really special intimate wedding and from all the early chats this sounded like a day right up my street as their Norfolk Wedding Videographer.
Early Morning
I arrived alongside Peter Denness (Photographer) to find Thomas and the boys all ready for us. A quick popping on of suits and opening of presents and it was soon time to head off to Langley to find the girls. I found Holly in the very good hands of Christy’s Hairdressing and Stephanie Alexandra (Make-Up) and the nerves were already bubbling away. It wasn’t long before it was time for Holly to put on her dress and for Silverline Limousines to drive her to the abbey to get married.
A Day full of emotion
The original date booked for these two to be married was a very special one but when restrictions hit, like so many they ended up with a different date. That didn’t effect the emotion of the day and when Holly walked down the aisle you could tell how much it meant to them both to be actually getting married. With stunning displays from Floral Sistas the incredible Langley Abbey looked even more awesome.
Once announced husband and wife it was soon time for the couple to spend some time with their guests. A quick pop out into the field to get some couples shots (smashed it guys!) and it was soon time for the wedding speeches.
Dancing the night away
Long before there was talk of dancing being advised against or restricted numbers. Holly and Thomas had hoped their wedding party in the evening would be a chilled and relaxed outdoor affair. This was exactly what happened with an outdoor first dance (one of my favourite trends right now!) followed by an outdoor party with Quirk Events in full flow.
Langley Abbey is steeped full of history and as its current chapter comes to a close it was great to be a part of this very special part of it. Holly and Thomas it has been a pleasure to get to know you. What an amazing day you had and I hope this little sneak peek into their day gives you a real feel of the connection these two have!
Just a quick shout out to another couple of incredible suppliers on the day. Epic Event Hire and Love Wedding Cakes! Much love!
