The Prep
That’s it, I am up and running again for 2023! 2022 was such a manic year and it was nice to grab a couple of months to recharge the batteries ready for yet another busy one. My first wedding of the year took me back to one of my faves. As a wedding videographer in Suffolk it is always lovely to be back at Elms Barn near Beccles and with Katie and Dean I had an ideal couple to kick 2023 off with a bang!
After we had our video call, Katie popped me a message to let me know that she had a bit of a surprise for Dean. Unfortunately both of these lovely people had recently suffered loss so Katie arranged for them to both release a balloon in memory, this was such a lovely touch and quite an emotional moment.
How They Made it Their Own
Such a lovely stylish day with everything planned out throughout the day. From the gorgeous stationary through to the gorgeous florals in the barn it looked amazing! I must add here that Katie used to work at Elms Barn so she knew the venue inside and out and that really helped with the planning.
Wedding Video Vibe
We got a golden hour, we got a golden hour! That’s genuinely the type of thing that I skip down the road to… Seriously though, there always needs to be a bit of planning and give and take when it comes to golden hour at this time of year. We planned to take the guys out after the meal and before the speeches. Just as the light started to turn the odd cloud was moving towards it so it was like go go go!
So you all know I love my golden hours so we started with that and I wanted to use a piece of music that would allow me to incorperate a snippit of the vows while also showing what a fun day these two legends had. I hope you enjoy this short look into what was a magical wedding day and the first of many for me this year!
