REAL WEDDING
An Epic Norfolk Festival Wedding Video
LAUREN + PETER
AUGUST 2019│NORFOLK
Wow, Lauren and Pete took DIY weddings to the next level by turning the field next to Carlton Forehoe Church into their very own wedding festival. Including the very cool Green Dragon Morris Dancers who brought a real sense of fun.
I will always dock my cap to anyone who takes on the challenge of a DIY Wedding. There are lots of wedding venues in Norfolk that offer a dry-hire where you then pack it with everything in your own way. Laren and Pete went one step further and just turned the whole field next to the church where they got married into their wedding venue. In fact, on their first enquiry where it asks for the wedding venue, Lauren just typed “a meadow :)”
As I arrived in the morning, Pete was busy with the final details and getting ready for some well-needed breakfast. So after some popping on of suits I was soon off on my way to Park Farm to find Lauren and her girls.
With Emily from Love Moi on Make-up and Tracey Ward on hair, there was already a bustle of excitement as Lauren took in the morning and relaxed. It was soon time to head over to the church and as I arrived and went over to see Pete he suddenly remembered the rings were in the marquee, thankfully the marquee was a matter of 50 yards away, so it was no biggie!
Magical Moment
Pete’s face as he saw Lauren walking towards him… nawww! You can really tell how much these two care for each other! After the service, it was off to the meadow for the festival to kick-off! I must say at this point that you haven’t lived until you have heard the Norwich Ukelele Society performing Pulp’s Common People! They really did a great job entertaining the wedding guests.
Inbetween the NUS’s sets the Morris Dancers performed as the guests sat around on strawbales watching the entertainment. A quick move of the bar (par for the course for a DIY wedding!) and it was time for the speeches and food!
After the meal, we headed out into a cornfield, alongside Tatum Reid (Photographer) and captured some pretty beautiful couples moments before the party kicked off with the excellent Playback Band.
These two were just awesome and I was so pleased that everything they planned worked perfectly! It was my absolute pleasure to be their wedding videographer and I hope you enjoy this little sneak peek film into their day.
