Best Way to Deliver your Wedding Videos

As a wedding videographer of over 10 years I’ve seen the evolution and development of many wedding film delivery options.  When I first started in 2012, it was all about DVDs, then it was Blu-ray followed by USB drive.  As internet speeds increased and server capacity grew, the rise of Netflix and other streaming services led to a generational change in the way people watch and consume TV and films.  This change in the way people watch media was also reflected in the wedding industry.  It soon became possible to upload individual video files to the internet and deliver to couples by a shareable link.

Fast-forward to today and there are multiple options available for a wedding videographer.  From the cloud storage providers like Google Drive through to dedicated video sharing platforms.  Most wedding filmmakers in 2022 are delivering online and couples are completely onboard.

My Choice of Wedding Film Delivery Platform

There are multiple companies who will offer online streaming of your wedding videos.  My personal delivery method of choice is EazyFlicks and I’ve found it a popular method with my couples to receive their wedding films.

It allows videographers to send an email link to a private video, allows digital downloads of the source file, deliver a whole collection of films, track emails and downloads, embed the videos on your website and even deliver photo galleries.

One thing I love about EazyFlicks as an online platform is the fact it is a UK company.  Jon is a wedding videographer himself, based in the North West of England.  Like many of us he started to get disillusioned with the options available to videographers to deliver their films.  That’s how EazyFlicks was born.  I have had many a chat with Jon personally over the time I have been using his service to deliver my online galleries and can vouch he is always looking to improve things.

Pricing

The platform has a free option of 5GB or there are three packages, Starter, Sideline or Unlimited.  The starter gives you 20GB of total space , Sideline 100GB and Unlimited, you guessed it unlimited storage!  Price wise, EazyFlicks works out very competitively as an option.  As of October 2022, you can have unlimited video footage uploads for $300 per year if paid annually.  How does this compare to the two big boys in the market?

MediaZilla charge $900py for a 1.2TB annual upload limit ($492 for 600gb).  Now there are some extra bells and whistles you get with MediaZilla but at three times the cost with a limit vs unlimited it’s hard to see that added value.  The other big name is a company called Vidflow.  Vidflow charges per project size, and looking at 600GB with the premium features added comes in at around $765. 

Ease of Use

EazyFlicks is pretty easy to use, some of the backend can occasionally feel a little clunky but the team have been working hard to improve this and there have been serious improvements in recent months.  Uploading speeds are excellent, I recently tested the speed at our local Gridserve and the upload speed hit 250mbs so you will only be limited by your internet connection. 

Once uploaded it is easy to create a collection of your films, adding passwords and branding.  Another feature I like is the ability to add a download pin to collections.  This is popular with my couples as it means they can share their films with friends and family but choose who can actually download them.

A recent addition is the ability to store your individual files in seperate folders.  This helps tidy up the back end and keep you nice and organised.

From the client view, the delivery emails are a nice touch (just add the email address), clean and feature your branding front and centre.  If you add a password, the client will be met with a password entry page and they are into the collection.  The video streaming is of a high quality and the collection look smart and clean to the client.  4k delivery is included.

It’s really easy for a client to watch or download whatever raw files they want to.  As I said previously it is a real bonus that EazyFlicks also allows wedding photographers or hybrid shooters to deliver wedding photos too.

In Conclusion

I see EazyFlicks as an excellent option for Wedding Photographers and Videographers to deliver both wedding films and wedding photos.  I am delighted as a Norfolk wedding videographer to use their service to deliver my films to my couples.

There are a few updates coming that will hopefully look to improve things.  A speed boost should be on the way in the coming months and personally I would quite like to see the addition of apps for Android/AppleTV etc at some point in the future but with the plans Jon has I know that things will only improve as time goes on.
