A Beautiful Lockdown Farm Wedding Video in Lincolnshire
Amy + Jethro
JULY 2020│LINCOLNSHIRE
Rewind a couple of months before this gorgeous farm wedding in Lincolnshire. Amy and Jethro like many had made the tough decision not to go ahead with their big day. Then there was an announcement and three weeks to kickstart their plans again.
This was a day I had been looking forward to for months. Boy, it didn’t disappoint! Amy and Jethro should have been something like my 20th wedding of the year but due to lockdown, this became my second wedding of the year. Obviously restrictions had come in which caused some changes to the plans but it didn’t deter these two! I have to give them my heartfelt thanks for giving me the chance to do what I love and film their wedding day.
Church Wedding
Amy arrived at her local church on the back of the family landrover. Driven by her brother he became the third generation of the family to drive the vehicle. It was so awesome to see so many little family traditions dotted into this wedding.
Walking into the church and seeing her guests there had Amy beaming before she even walked up the aisle. I have to at this point mention my namesake Mike the vicar. He had such a great attitude to everything and certainly had a few chuckles throughout the wedding ceremony.
After the couple were married they walked out of the church with their guests A little confetti shot and it was then time to head back to the farm alongside Georgia Rachael (Wedding Photographer) to capture some pretty special couples time.
Why I Love a Farm Wedding!
I can’t tell you just how much I love a farm wedding. Being able to take a walk around the family farm with A+J was just awesome. Farms give such a great mix of backdrops to your wedding film. From Industrial buildings and equipment to gorgeous fields. Add into that the sheer flatness of the fens in Lincolnshire offering big skies.
There had been a fair bit of rain in the lead up to our trip around the farm. This didn’t bother farm girl Amy who just hoisted up the bottom of her dress and walked straight into the corn.
As I always say, you get out what you put in with couples time. Some gorgeous golden light in a cornfield means one happy Lincolnshire Wedding Videographer!
